Thella M. Collings
Thella Marie Hurd Collings, 85, a long-time resident of Provo, passed away Friday, August 8, 2008, of natural causes. Born and raised in Idaho, she married Ralph Willard Collings on July 18, 1945; they spent their married lives in Utah, Montana, and California until his death in 1986, shortly after which she moved to Provo.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister and one greatgranddaughter. She is survived by four children: Cleta Vergene Collings Belt, of Ammon, Idaho; Michael Robert Collings, of Meridian, Idaho; Bruce Jay Collings, of Provo, Utah; Valerie Susan Collings Kearsley, of Shelley, Idaho; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack B. Hurd, of Murtaugh, Idaho.
Thella's family would like to thank the staff at Orem Nursing and Rehab for their care, and all of Thella's friends who helped brighten her life these last few years.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, of Provo, 185 East Center Street. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo on Monday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in California. Condolences may be sent to info@bergmortuary.com.
